This course is all about the VOICE and draws on the principles of the functional voice from models such as the ESTILL Voice system.

COURSE TUTOR: Rob Cates Rob is a dynamic singer-songwriter, vocal coach, worship leader and pianist in the UK and Europe. He currently divides his time between vocal coaching for speech and singing; training choirs and singing teachers; leading worship; training church worship teams; and his on-going vocal and performance research.
Rob is a graduate of City University and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (piano), the University of York, and the Institute of Education. In 2010 he was made a Fellow of the College of Teachers and awarded Chartered London Teacher Status. Since then Rob has completed Advanced training in the ESTILL Voice System and continues to train in ESTILL. Rob coaches across all genres of music specialising in technical voice and contemporary commercial music genres: rock, pop, musical theatre, gospel, soul and more. Most recently Rob worked as a behind the scenes vocal coach and on-stage pianist to The Bulmershe Ensemble in the final of BBC2s ‘The Choir: Gareth's Best in Britain’ 2016.
