Gail Windrass

Gail Windrass has been leading Choirs for the past 14 years. She is an accomplished singer and community musician, with a keen interest in getting more people enjoying and celebrating the the sound of their own voice.

 

One of her most notable achievements is the setup of the Luton Gospel Community Choir which she ran for 12 years and BIG Gospel Choir (formerly Gospel Singers Incognito (GSI) which she co-founded in 2010 they reached the semi-finals of Britains Got Talent in 2013 and their audition video has over 34million views at the last count. Over the years she has teamed up with amazing musical friends to run a range of other exciting community music programmes and events including Gospel Music Week (Luton) and their 10th year DVD project, Gospelize (Wales), Luton Schools Shine choir project with Levi Roots and Ainsley (Aswad) to commerate the Olympics torch coming to Luton in 2012 as well as Black History music workshops for National Blood Transfusion service, University of East London and schools in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, London and Oxfordshire. 

 

As a singer she has had the privilege to work with Beverley Trotman (X-Factor 2007), Tony Momrelle (Incognito), Idris Elba, Susan Boyle, Joss Stone. 

 

She works actively to promote, create and manage excellent community music opportunities for children, young people and adults.
